What it does

What soy oil roof treatment does for aging asphalt shingles

SoyFuze is a high-quality soy oil roof treatment concentrate that rejuvenates asphalt shingles, improves flexibility, and can add 5+ years to your roof’s life! Derived from natural soybean oil, it penetrates deep into your shingles, restoring essential oils lost to aging, UV exposure, and harsh weather. What is a soybean oil roof treatment? →

Reduces Granule Loss

Soy oil helps aging shingles hold onto their granules, reducing granule loss.

Restores Rain Repellency

Shingles become hydrophobic again, so they dry out much faster. That helps keep mold, mildew, and algae away.

Restores Flexibility

Shingles can dry out internally in as little as 5 years. Soy oil soaks in and brings back flexibility.
The math

DIY roof rejuvenation for hundreds, not tens of thousands.

Aging shingles dry out and get brittle long before they wear out. Roof rejuvenation costs a fraction of tearing them off.

How it works

How to apply SoyFuze yourself: DIY roof treatment in four steps.

1

Inspect & Repair as Needed

Check pipe boots, flashing, caulk, and roof cement, and fix anything cracked or loose. SoyFuze restores shingles, not other roofing materials. Roof inspection checklist before rejuvenation →
2

Measure

Measure your roof’s square footage to see how much concentrate you need. How to measure your roof
3

Mix

4

Plan and apply

Pick a day with no rain in the forecast for at least 48 hours, then spray evenly onto clean, dry shingles. Stay off the roof for 48 hours afterward.

SoyFuze absorbs in under an hour, then keeps working into the shingles, softening and restoring them. You’ll see the full result in about 3 days (72 hours).

Soy oil roof treatment packs, sized for your roof.

Every pack is soy oil roof rejuvenation concentrate: 1 gallon makes 4 gallons of ready-to-spray (mixed) SoyFuze. Each mixed gallon covers about 100–150 sq ft, so each gallon of concentrate covers about 400–600 sq ft. Where your roof lands in that range depends on its age and condition. Newer shingles that still have some of their natural oils absorb less, so you get the high end: about 150 sq ft per mixed gallon (600 sq ft per gallon of concentrate). Older, dried-out shingles absorb more to restore their flexibility. For example, on an average 20-year-old roof, plan on about 100 sq ft per mixed gallon, or 400 sq ft per gallon of concentrate.

I used this product on 11 roofs. It was easy to use. … Coverage is as advertised.
Craig S.Verified buyer · 8-Pack
Very happy with the ease of application and the results as well. … Noticably increased shingle flexibility when I checked after a few days. Roof replacements in my area are over $20K, so whether you DIY or hire someone it’s well worth the cost. … I highly recommend SoyFuze.
David I.20-year-old roof
I did some research and decided to purchase soyfuze. The application went seamlessly thanks to Nate’s application tips. … I will reapply according to instructions.
Greg D.Verified buyer · 6-Pack
Our roof is about 18 years old … We can tell when it rains the water sheds off. My husband was working on the gutter guards and said all the shingles are flexible still. We are sold on this product and have recommend to several friends!

The science behind soy

SoyFuze mixes to a 20% soy methyl ester (SME) final solution. That’s the same concentration used in independent lab testing of soy-based shingle treatments, which found treated shingles held onto their granules far better than untreated ones.

What is soy oil roof treatment?
Soy oil roof treatment is a spray-on concentrate that soaks into asphalt shingles and replaces the oils they lose to aging, UV exposure, and weather. SoyFuze is an 80% soy-based concentrate, not plain soybean oil (don’t put cooking oil on your roof). SoyFuze restores flexibility and can add 5+ years to your roof’s life. Learn how soybean oil roof treatment works.
How is SoyFuze different from Roof Maxx?
Roof Maxx is sold as a service through a franchise dealer network. SoyFuze sells the concentrate direct, so you can spray it yourself for about 18–28¢ per sq ft, or hire a certified SoyFuze applicator. Franchise and dealer applications of soy-based rejuvenators often run well over $1 per sq ft. See Roof Maxx cost examples.
How much SoyFuze do I need for my roof?
Each gallon of concentrate makes 4 gallons of ready-to-spray SoyFuze, and each ready-to-spray gallon covers about 100–150 sq ft depending on how dry your shingles are. A 3-Pack covers about 1,200–1,800 sq ft. For example, a 2,000 sq ft roof needs about 3.3–5 gallons of concentrate, so a 4-Pack or 6-Pack. Here’s how to measure your roof.
How often should I treat my roof, and how much do I need the second time?
A follow-up treatment is typically applied about 5 years after the first, and it usually goes further. Because the shingles already absorbed oil the first time, a second treatment is typically applied at the high end of the coverage range, about 150 sq ft per mixed gallon (600 sq ft per gallon of concentrate).
Is it safe for my roof and plants?
SoyFuze is a plant-based soy oil roof treatment made for asphalt shingles. It contains no toxic chemicals harmful to plants, animals, or water systems.
Can I apply it myself?
Yes. Mix 1 part concentrate to 3 parts water and spray it onto clean, dry shingles when no rain is forecast for at least 48 hours, and stay off the roof for 48 hours afterward. Use proper roof safety gear. Read the mixing & spraying guide.
How long does it last?
Roof rejuvenation with SoyFuze replenishes the oils aging shingles lose, helping restore shingles’ flexibility, which can add 5+ years to your roof’s life.
